Purdue Fruit & Vegetable Field Day

Extension specialist Laura Ingwell shows attendees the effects of pest damage on crops.

The Purdue Department of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture and Purdue Extension invite fruit and vegetable producers to the 2026 Fruit and Vegetable Field Day on July 16.

Educational sessions, presented by Purdue University and Purdue Extension experts, will discuss topics including high tunnel production systems, pollinator management, soil health strategies and innovative weed and pest control methods. Attendees will be able to learn about the latest Purdue research, network with other producers and discover practical solutions to enhance their operations.

The Purdue Fruit and Vegetable Field Day gives growers direct access to the research and people working to support their operations. This year’s event features a strong lineup of demonstrations spanning current and ongoing work that we believe attendees will find genuinely useful. We know farmers’ time is valuable, and we’ve designed this day to make the trip worthwhile. Whether that means discovering a new variety, refining a production practice, or simply connecting with others who share a passion for fruit and vegetable production. Registration is $48

Attendee registration costs $48 and can be completed here. Lunch will be provided by Great Harvest.
